My central air finally took a dirt nap. It finally happened. I knew the central air was going bad but I didn’t know what to do. In the end the quote to repair it was $350. I said “NO WAY” and decided to look at what my options were. The only available solution was a portable air conditioner because the room that I spend the most time in doesn’t have any windows.
That means a window air conditioner was simply out of the question. This portable air conditioner has solved my problems and really keeps things cold. Not just cool, but real cold air. Did you know that this portable air conditioner can also be used as a dehumidifier? I use it specifically for this purpose a lot. You simply attach a hose to the unit and it will get rid of the water in the air. Not only that, but it does a great job of pumping out cold air. It can take a 90 degree room and reduce it to 75 in a few short hours. I’ll admit, $453 dollars is a lot to pay for a portable air conditioner, but when it doubles as a dehumidifier, what more could you ask for.
I don’t have to double down and pay for both. I got this unit shipped to me in two days and I haven’t looked back since. Even on the highest fan setting, I can hear and take part in a telephone call without being disrupted. It’s that quiet. So if you’re looking for a good portable air conditioner/dehumidifier, this is a great overall unit.
